FAQ’s

The standard documents required are: (1) Original vehicle registration certificate (title deed), (2) SARPCCO police clearance certificate, (3) South African roadworthiness certificate (RWC), (4) SARS customs export entry (DA 550 or equivalent), (5) Bill of lading from the shipping line, and (6) Commercial invoice and packing list. Kalali Motors prepares and manages all of these on behalf of the buyer.
SARPCCO stands for Southern African Regional Police Chiefs Co-operation Organisation. The SARPCCO clearance certificate is a regional police check confirming the vehicle is not stolen and is free to export. It is required by most SADC destination countries as a condition of customs clearance. Without it, your vehicle may be impounded at the port of entry.
SARPCCO clearance typically takes 3–10 business days from application, depending on the vehicle's history and current SAPS processing volumes. Kalali Motors handles the application as part of the standard export process.
Kalali Motors manages all South African export documentation and customs clearance. For the destination country, we work with trusted local clearing agents in each market. Buyers are informed of destination-side costs upfront so there are no surprise duties or fees on arrival.
In the unlikely event of a document issue, Kalali Motors takes responsibility for resolving it. Our team monitors all shipments through to arrival and maintains direct lines with customs authorities and clearing agents in each destination country.
